Cleanse Your Skin Naturally with Pure Raw African Black Soap

Many people, man or woman like to keep their skin in order. Some may have different skin issues such as Acne, Eczema, Psoriasis, or Dry Skin and Dark Spots. Whatever the condition may be, they want to clear it up to reveal healthy beautiful skin. There are so many products on the market, it’s really hard to choose. The biggest question on people’s minds is “Will this product deliver on what it says and work for me?”

They may find one that works great and then all of a sudden it doesn’t give the same results as before. Have you had that happen with a product you were using? Some products may contain very harsh chemicals. Those chemicals could be harmful to our bodies. I will pass on the harsh chemicals for $2000 Alex!

I have never really had any issues with my skin other than the occasional pimple here and there and dryness. As I have become older, I have noticed that my skin has become more dry. I also have some dark spots in my cheek areas. I have tried many products on the market, some worked and others not so much. I decided to look into more natural products for my skincare.

In my search I came across Raw African Black Soap. When I researched this soap it really peeked my interest. I was too excited when I snagged the chance to test some out from Incredible By Nature. African Black Soap is a soap that is produced in West Africa by tribeswomen in Ghana from special secret recipes. The soap has a blackish-brown color to it because of it’s ingredients.

What is in Raw African Black Soap

African Black Soap is made with plants that are local to the area. These ingredients are as follows;

  • Plantain
  • Cocoa Pods
  • Palm Tree Leaves
  • Shea TreeBark

To start the soap making process, the ingredients are sun-dried and roasted, which is how the deep color is achieved. Then water and oils such as coconut, palm plus shea butter are added to the mix. Once the soap mixture is at the desired consistency, it is then left to sit and “cure.”

Benefits of Raw African Black Soap

Black soap has been used for healing problem skin. It can cleanse and lightly exfoliate the skin giving it a healthy glow. Some claim that it can even out dark spots, ease eczema, thin fine lines, and help with acne or razor bumps. Black soap has been said to aid the scalp as well.

The ingredients in the soap offer many healing  benefits.

  • Cocoa Pod/butter- softens and firms the skin, has antioxidants & anti-inflammatory properties that fight free radicals, repairs and renews damaged skin
  •  Palm Oil- rich in antioxidants vitamin E, treats acne, burns, eczema & reduces cell damage
  • Palm Kernel Oil- high in lauric acid with anti-bacterial/fungal properties
  •  Coconut Oil- reinforces the skin’s lipid barrier to lock in moisture, repair dry skin and reduce wrinkles

How to Use and Store Raw African Black Soap

When you get your slab of black soap, cut a small size piece off. Then work a lather up in your hands. Make sure there are no whole particles of pods in the bar that may scratch your skin. Apply the lather to your face and gently rub it in. Wash, then rinse with cool water and dry with towel. If you experience dryness, follow up with your favorite moisturizer.

After use, you want to store your soap in a nice dry place, as it absorbs water easily because of its high glycerin content. I like to keep my slab in a ziplock bag and my working piece (the cut bar that I’m using) in a travel soap container. When exposed to air, black soap can develop a thin white film. Don’t worry, this is not mold and the soap can still be used.

The Verdict

I must say I love using raw black soap on my skin. I liked the clean earthy smell that it has. When I tell you the lathering power of this soap is bananas, that’s what I mean. Amazing!  Just a small piece gives you a rich creamy lather. It washes away so clean, leaving your skin fresh, smooth, and glowing. I used the black soap twice (morning and night) a day. I did find that it improved the dryness that I was experiencing with my skin. I also noticed a tone change (evenness) in my skin too. The dark areas are also clearing. I am very pleased with the results that I am having from using this soap. I found that it removes makeup really well. I have not tried it on my hair yet, but that’s the next test. The soap is perfect for daily use and is great for all skin types.

Note: If you are latex or caffeine sensitive, test the soap on your arm before use. Since the soap has cacao pods (contains caffeine that can be absorbed by the skin) and shea butter (contains small amounts of latex naturally).
